Vintage Baltic Amber & White Metal Art Nouveau Style Brooch

A striking vintage brooch featuring a large, freeform Baltic amber cabochon in a rich cognac-brown shade. Its natural-looking variations and glowing translucency are beautifully complemented by an organically shaped white-metal setting.

The flowing, asymmetrical framework and small decorative silver-toned details give the brooch a distinctive Art Nouveau-inspired appearance. The reverse is fitted with a traditional pin fastening.

The white metal is unmarked and is therefore not described as silver. Visible soldering is present on the reverse, possibly from its original construction or a historic repair. The amber also has a noticeable surface scratch, shown clearly in the close-up photographs. Further light marks and wear are present in keeping with the brooch’s vintage character.
